People like to tell stories and people like to hear good stories. Stories stick more than statistics, I always say. But when you have some data or numbers that you want to share, it is not so easy to make a good story out of it. We are so overwhelmed with social media, that our attention span is getting shorter and shorter. Therefore, you need to “pull out” ONE key point of the data and build a story as the hero. In fairytales and movies, the hero emerges, goes out and faces the challenge, struggles, overcomes something and then comes out victorious. How can you find one point in your data and do a little background investigation and discover your hero and build a story that the audience will appreciate – and if you are lucky, the story will stick.
